Vaping products are currently not classified the same as tobacco products, they are openly sold in prominent positions within shops, in brightly coloured packaging and flavours attractive to kids.
There is evidence that 8.6% children between the age of 11-18 are vaping, up considerable from 2021.
Vaping contains nicotine, one of the most addictive substances there is AND it's available in every newsagent for your children to buy!
It's not SAFE, it's safer but not SAFE. Disposable vapes are unregulated and no idea what ingredients are in these products and nicotine levels are frequently higher than advertised.
Please sign this to get Parliament to debate getting vaping products classified as tobacco products, hidden away from open display in shops.Read more

Tanning products are being advertised in Australia across social media, influencing young people on TikTok and Instagram to lie out in the sun with the express purpose of tanning their skin.
Australia has the highest skin cancer rate in the world (2020 study, WCRF) and overexposure to UV light from the sun causes 95 per cent of melanomas (Melanoma Institute Australia).

We want to see a ban on advertising products that have no SPF but are designed to be worn in the sun to encourage a tan, and strict regulations around tanning products in general, in particular how they are allowed to be advertised and marketed in Australia.Read more
