Let's make Cornish Public Transport accessible and affordable for all! We need more people using public transport! People need to be able to rely on public transport!  Cornwall has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK, but the infrastructure of Cornwall is failing. Cornwall needs ALL of your help to sign this petition to improve public transport and make it accessible and affordable for everyone who visits, lives and loves Cornwall.  Cornwall’s infrastructure does not support the amount of cars on the road. Car parks overflow every year throughout Cornwall, roads become congested, and residential areas suffer badly from overflow parking. To achieve more people using public transport we need UK Parliament and Cornwall Council to: Set up an Oyster card system that connects ALL the different public transport services in Cornwall (First Bus Kernow, Transport for Cornwall and Great Western Railway!). Increase public transport services during commuter hours! (Not just focused on tourism peaks!). Connect all rural areas around Cornwall via public transport (especially since most of Cornwall is rural!). Don’t forget: if fewer people can afford to live near their place of work, and fewer people can afford their commute to work; then fewer people can work!  After sharing these issues, the response I received from Chris Deakin - Senior Transport Officer (Cornwall council) said this is “largely outside of the control of the Council, but we will continue to review these issues with these commercial companies”.  A petition I made to improve public transport via the UK Parliament website, was rejected because apparently:  “It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for.” If the UK Government have told me they are "not responsible" for improving public transport, and Cornwall Council have told me it's "largely outside of the control of the Council" because the companies are commercial.... who is left to go to to change this....I don’t know what else to do other than this petition via Change! I’ve been on BBC spotlight twice now, and spoken on BBC Radio Cornwall...I’ve had two petitions rejected by UK Parliament. I met with my local MP Derek Thomas, 8 months ago, who has shown me no progress. I’ve contacted Cornwall Council who said transport companies in Cornwall are now commercial and so this is no longer their responsibility! I’m doing this for everyone who appreciates Cornwall. And I can’t do this on my own...this is my last try... By signing this petition you are supporting the future of KERNOW and making it affordable and accessible for everyone!  SIGN. SHARE. And SHARE AGAIN! FOR KERNOW! All the best,  Cheers now!Alice x P.S. CLICK HERE TO VIEW ORIGINAL LETTER SENT LAST YEAR TO CORNWALL COUNCIL AND DEREK THOMAS MP! Petition to Meecl , Power Minister of Meghalaya
We the citizens of Nongpoh, Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya are facing a very serious power cut problem. There is not a single day that would go by without us having to endure multiple power cuts. And for most cases, the duration of the power cut goes on for hours on end. We have been complaining to our local office and our linesmen but to no avail. Despite being the district headquarter, it is a sad reality to see that the power situation is really bad compared to any other town in the state. Ask any person who got posted here at Nongpoh and they would all tell you the same thing: ridiculous frequency of power cuts. We have been facing this brunt for a long time now and especially during this pandemic where most of us are confined to our homes and the students are all taking their classes, exams and admissions online. It's 2021, and it's high time we at least get reliable power for our homes, schools and business establishments. Please sign this petition asking our Hon'ble Minister of Power and the responsible department to look into this issue as soon as possible. Sincerely,A Nongpoh Citizen.Read more

Petition to Ms. Melissa Horne, Ms. Joanne Ryan
This is a petition to Ms.Melissa Horne, The Minister for Public Transport Victoria to address the issue we are facing in relation to the public transport facilities from Wyndham Vale / Tarneit to Southern Cross (Melbourne CBD). As you know, the Wyndham Vale and Tarneit residents are using the V/Line trains which operates in Geelong line. It is almost impossible for us to use our cars to go to work everyday and train is the only public transport system we can use.  If you check the stats, you can see that it is not a small number of residents of Wyndham Vale and Tarneit who are using the V/Line especially on working days during peak hours. Unfortunately, many V/Line services run with reduced capacity (3 carriages only ) during these peak hours which makes it almost impossible for the residents of Wyndham Vale/Tarneit to board the train. This results in a delay in our daily plans / office hours. This seems to be happening more often now. As you understand its not easy to be excused for being late to office just because train is late/reduced capacity/cancelled.  Another important issue we would like to bring to your attention is long intervals between services during the peak hours. For example: From CBD to Wyndham Vale, if a customer miss the 5:16 PM train, he/she needs to wait till 5:46 PM. Please understand that it is not 10 or 20 people. It is 100s of people. And after this 30 mins of wait V/Line may disappoint with a 3 carriage service. Please refer to the public transport usage stats of Geelong V/Line. A travel in these services is really a frustrating experience as its always packed with customers who pay for these services. In addition to all these, there is also the constant murmur and complaints from Geelong customers when they are not able to board Geelong service from city as it is full.  We request your attention into this issue and address this so that the residents of Wyndham Vale/Tarneit can commute to the city and be able to arrive at work on time. Also it would help other Geelong customers travel with comfort.  A 6 carriage V/Line service every 10 minutes from ( or stops at ) Wyndham Vale and Tarneit in the morning peak hours and a 6 carriage V/Line service every 10 minutes from Southern Cross in the evening peak hours that stops at Wyndham Vale and Tarneit would solve this issue.  Thank youRead more

we live in a wired world, where nearly everything in our lives require a steady supply of electricity to remain in operation. Sudden power outages can be frustrating and troublesome, especially when they last a long time. This is what people residing in the area of Bangalore, ‘Sarjapur’ are facing on a daily basis. Read more

Petition to Kenya Power & Lighting Company
Limuru constituency has been experiencing blackouts lasting more than 50% of all the times. This has resulted to untold losses at homes and businesses. Sadly, this happens even when rains are in plenty. Additionally, Limuru is sorrounded by at least 4 power stations. We hereby request urgent measures to be taken so that KPLC can ensure electricity in Limuru is sufficiently supplied at all times. Read more
