Crores of disabled people in India earnestly request you please refer the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2014 Bill to a standing committee for further perusal and improvement before its enactment as legislation.

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill 2014 was introduced on 7th Febuary 2014 in the Rajya Sabha in haste, and has countless loopholes and doesn't reflect the spirit of UNCRPD which India ratified in 2007. the millions disabled people who have no representatives of their own community in either of the houses of the parliament, only reckon you as becon of hope who would by refering this Bil to a standing committee will fasilitate more brainstorming and inter-group discussion to bring in necessary improvements in the Bill. We hope you would take reasoned decision of refering this Bill to a standing committee which is in interest of the persons with disabilities who are the largest minority in the country.
