Old Oswestry Iron Age Hillfort is the best preserved Iron Age Hillfort in Britain. It has design features which are un-paralleled. It remains the jewel in Oswestry's crown, an under-valued heritage asset and the old ancient heart of the town. Rather than build modern houses in its shadow, we should look at developing this heritage asset for the town and visitors to appreciate for generations to come.
