I am a Mom who started this petition asking for signatures because I want people to know there are children like Alex who do not have access to local emergency care,  Pediatric specialists or therapies.  The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) assured me they would move us into a medical community to support Alex but as of yet, have not and I am no longer allowed to contact their office and to advocate for my son who is both medically complex and has autism.  If you can not sign to help us perhaps you could atleast call and ask Governor Scott when he will help this child and if you can not do that can you please donate to www.gofundme.com/Save-Alex.  The number to Scott's office is 1-850-717-9337 ask for Peggy or Warren as they are well aware of Alex's case and will be able to assist you.

The stakes are high for Alex, me, and all Floridians.  If we banned together and demand healthcare for all Floridians regardless, of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, etc, then Florida will have no option but to provide for its' people.  If we let one child, Alex, slip through the cracks, then that crack becomes a canyon in which all Floridians fall.  This petition is about my son's life and the quality there of.  Your signature can provide him that quality.  However, we are also talking about the healthcare and quality of every human life.  That takes all of us working together and letting governments know we will stand for each other to ensure humanity for all human beings.

All I am asking for is access to local healthcare for my son which he has been denied for the past 14 1/2 years so he can integrate into society.  Please sign the petition for Alex, for me who has not had but ten days off in 14 1/2 years two years of which I did end stage cancer care for my Mom and she past.  But most of all do it for yourself, your family and your friends so that no one has to go without healthcare ever again.
