William Joseph "Bill" Posey is an American businessman and seasoned politician, serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 8th congressional district since 2009. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Posey has a rich history in public service. He began his political career as a council member on the Rockledge City Council from 1976 to 1986. He then served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 to 2000, followed by the Florida Senate from 2000 to 2008. Posey is also a successful real estate agent, having founded and led Posey & Co. Realtors and served as President and Owner of the Space Coast Association of Realtors. He holds an Associate's degree from Brevard Community College and a high school diploma from Cocoa High School.
