Whether or not you agree that Snails is ableist, the character in question is a mockery of the discrimination that the disabled face every day. To us, it is not a joke. To us, it is a constant reminder of the bullying, the harassment, the pain. Why? Because they turned a disabled character into comic relief. This teaches the children who watch the show that it's okay to make fun of people who are different.
