We are requesting that the Borough change the times for Trick-or-Treating to be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the Sunday following the Spirit Parade for the following reasons:

1. To relieve the burden of parents having to get off work early and speeding home to get their children in their costumes and ready for the 6:00 pm trick-or-treating start time, on a work night (The kids CAN'T wait. It's like a horse race; the bell rings, the gates open, and at 5:59 there are kids at our door.)

2. Forget about the construction in town, Friday nights no matter what are a busy traffic time. Everyone is rushing to get home from work to relax, on Sundays people are already mostly home, and traffic is lighter which makes walking around with kids in bulky costumes and silly shoes safer!!

3. To make it more fun for the young and young at heart, we can all enjoy the parade and then continue the festivities the way we use to by Trick or Treating right afterward! The neighbors and family would gather around and cook out together in the driveways and the weather was much warmer and the daylight made it much safer!
