大埔宏福苑火災支援仍在持續，社區正面臨沉重的傷痛與挑戰。然而，警方及國安處卻在此時將「大埔宏福苑火災關注組」創辦人 Miles 帶往警署調查。僅僅四項中性、客觀的訴求，何以被視為威脅國家安全？

我們認為，當務之急是全力支援受災居民、安撫死傷者家屬，而非進行與事件本質無關的政治拘捕。此舉不僅無助於災後重建，更有損公義與社會信任。 社區需要的是援助，不是打壓！

因此，我們發起本次聯署，要求：

1. 立即釋放聯署發起人 Miles
2. 立即停止對聯署及相關人士的一切調查
3. 明確將本次聯署定性為與國家安全無關的公民行動

我們呼籲政府及警方，尊重災民的痛苦與社會的合理訴求，停止不必要的政治干預，讓社會能專注於救援與重建工作。

【Release the Innocent Petition Initiator】

We believe the urgent priority should be to fully support the affected residents and comfort the families of the deceased and injured, rather than carrying out political arrests unrelated to the essence of the tragedy. Such actions do not aid post-disaster recovery; instead, they undermine justice and erode public trust. What the community needs is assistance, not suppression.

Therefore, we launch this petition to demand:

1. Immediate release of petition initiator Miles
2. Immediate cessation of all investigations into the petition and related individuals
3. Clear recognition that this petition is a civic action unrelated to national security

We call upon the government and the police to respect the suffering of the victims and the community’s legitimate demands, and to end unnecessary political interference so that society can focus on rescue and rebuilding efforts.

What the community needs is assistance, not suppression!
