今回は、学校法人桜丘とは別の学校で起きている問題について、紹介をさせてください。
現在、学校法人巣鴨学園で勤務する非常勤講師の先生が、長年勤務した後に無期労働契約へ転換したにもかかわらず、授業数を減らされ、結果として賃金も減らされたとして、東京地方裁判所で、私たちと同じように闘っています。
桜丘の問題とは、学校も事件の性質も異なります。
しかし、同じように私立中高で生徒の前に立ち、授業を担っている非常勤講師の先生が、雇用や賃金の安定を求めて裁判で闘っているという点では、私たちにとって決して無関係な問題ではありません。
非常勤講師も、教員免許を持ち、生徒の教育を日々支えています。
それにもかかわらず、無期労働契約へ転換した後も、学校側の一方的な判断によって授業数や収入が大きく左右されるのであれば、安心して働き続けることはできません。
この問題は、一人の先生だけの問題でも、一つの学校だけの問題でもありません。
学校で働く非常勤講師、そして非正規教員の雇用の安定に関わる問題だと考えています。

A Request for Your Support — Employment Security for Part-Time Teachers Is Also at Stake at Another School
Thank you very much to everyone who has supported the petition concerning the Sakuragaoka case.Thanks to your support, the petition has now received more than 20,000 signatures.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support.
This time, we would like to introduce an issue taking place at a different school from Sakuragaoka.
A part-time teacher currently working at Sugamo Gakuen has filed a case with the Tokyo District Court. After many years of service, the teacher converted to an open-ended employment contract, yet the number of classes assigned to the teacher was subsequently reduced, resulting in a reduction in pay. The teacher is now fighting in court, just as we are.
The Sugamo case is different from the Sakuragaoka case, both in terms of the school involved and the nature of the legal dispute.
However, we do not believe that this issue is unrelated to us. Like us, this teacher works at a private junior and senior high school, stands in front of students every day, and is now fighting in court for greater stability in employment and income.
Part-time teachers also hold teaching licenses and play an essential role in educating and supporting students every day.
If, even after converting to an open-ended employment contract, a teacher’s number of classes and income can still be substantially affected by unilateral decisions made by the school, it becomes extremely difficult for that teacher to work with any real sense of security.
This is not merely an issue concerning one teacher or one school.
We believe it raises a broader issue concerning employment security for part-time and other non-regular teachers working in schools.
