私たちは妖怪ウォッチシリーズが大好きで、国内外を問わずその魅力に夢中になっています。しかし先日妖怪ウォッチファンコミュニティで起きた事件はファンにとって決して小さくない傷跡を残すことになりました。海外の妖怪ウォッチファンによる非公式リマスターが日本人ファンによる多くの批判を受け、公開停止に追い込まれたのです。最終的には権利元である株式会社レベルファイブも声明を出す事態になりました。

彼らは決してレベルファイブの権利を侵害することを目的に行動を起こしたわけではなく、ひとえに妖怪ウォッチをプレイしたいと思う純粋な気持ちに支えられた活動でした。勿論海賊版は許されるものではありませんが、本来それを防ぐためには公式による正規版の流通・販売が必要で、その為にもレベルファイブはファンからの声に耳を傾ける必要があると思っています。

多くのファンは、従来の妖怪ウォッチシリーズを現行のゲーム機でプレイしたいと願っています。特に妖怪ウォッチ2の移植、リメイクを求める声は2026年現在においても根強く、国内外を問わず非常に待望されています。しかし残念なことに現在の妖怪ウォッチシリーズの国際的な需要に対し、公式の供給が追いついていないのが現状です。

日本国内においては妖怪ウォッチシリーズをフリマサイト等で中古で購入し、プレイすることは比較的容易ですが、海外では流通規模の事情などから正規価格でプレイすることが困難な状況にあります。この海を隔てたファン同士の格差が今回の海賊版騒動の根本的な原因です。

そこで我々は、レベルファイブに対し、妖怪ウォッチシリーズの現行機への移植またはリメイクと、国際展開を求めます。

具体的には以下のことを求めます。

1. 妖怪ウォッチ1 for Nintendo Switch、ios、androidのローカライズ版（翻訳版）の開発・発売
2. 妖怪ウォッチ2、3（バスターズ等の外伝作品も含む）の機種を問わない（steam等を含む）現行機への移植またはリメイクとローカライズ版（翻訳版）の開発・発売
3. 妖怪ウォッチ4のローカライズ版（翻訳版）の開発・発売

これらを実現するためには多くの困難があることは重々承知しております。しかしそれでも、レベルファイブにはファンの想いに応えるために行動に移してほしいと強く願います。

株式会社レベルファイブは、長年にわたり多くの愛されるタイトルを生み出してきたゲーム会社です。その中でも、妖怪ウォッチシリーズは独特のキャラクターやストーリーで多くの人々を魅了してきました。この素晴らしい作品を新しい世代のプレイヤーに届けるためにも、現行のゲーム機への移植と国際的な展開が必要です。多くのファンにとって、この作品を新しい環境で体験することは、子供の頃の思い出を呼び起こすだけでなく、新たなファン層を開拓する絶好の機会になると思います。
私たちは、株式会社レベルファイブに対し、妖怪ウォッチシリーズを現行機に移植し、国際展開を行うことを求めます。ファンの熱い要望に応えることで、このシリーズの新たな可能性を開くことができると思います。どうか、私たちの声が届くよう、一緒にこの請願書に署名してください。

（過去作シリーズの中古版の購入ですが、これらは恐らくレベルファイブに資金は流れないと思いますので、可能な限り現行シリーズの購入をお願いします。）

We absolutely love the *Yo-kai Watch* series and are captivated by its charm, both in Japan and abroad. However, an incident that occurred recently within the *Yo-kai Watch* fan community has left a significant scar on the fanbase. An unofficial remaster created by overseas *Yo-kai Watch* fans faced heavy criticism from Japanese fans and was ultimately taken down. The situation eventually escalated to the point where Level-5, Inc., the rights holder, issued a statement.

Their actions were by no means intended to infringe on Level-5’s rights; rather, they were driven by a pure desire to play “Yo-kai Watch.” Of course, pirated versions are unacceptable, but we believe that to prevent this, official distribution and sales of legitimate versions are necessary—and to achieve that, Level-5 needs to listen to the voices of its fans.

Many fans wish to play the classic “Yo-kai Watch” series on current-generation consoles. In particular, the demand for a port or remake of “Yo-kai Watch 2” remains strong even as of 2026 and is highly anticipated both domestically and internationally. Unfortunately, however, the current reality is that official supply has not kept pace with the international demand for the “Yo-kai Watch” series.

In Japan, it is relatively easy to purchase and play used copies of the “Yo-kai Watch” series on online marketplace sites, but overseas, due to distribution constraints and other factors, it is difficult to purchase and play the games at retail price. This disparity between fans on either side of the ocean is the root cause of the current piracy controversy.

Therefore, we demand that Level-5 port or remake the “Yo-kai Watch” series for current-generation consoles and expand its international reach.

Specifically, we demand the following:

1. Development and release of a localized (translated) version of “Yo-kai Watch 1” for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android
2. Porting or remaking “Yo-kai Watch 2” and “Yo-kai Watch 3” (including spin-off titles such as “Busters”) to current-generation platforms (including Steam), regardless of hardware, and the development and release of localized (translated) versions
3. Development and release of a localized version (translated version) of Yo-kai Watch 4

We are fully aware that there are many challenges involved in making these requests a reality. Nevertheless, we strongly hope that Level-5 will take action to respond to the wishes of the fans.

Level-5 Inc. is a game company that has produced many beloved titles over the years. Among them, the “Yo-kai Watch” series has captivated countless people with its unique characters and stories. To bring this wonderful series to a new generation of players, porting it to current-generation consoles and expanding its international reach are essential. For many fans, experiencing this series in a new environment will not only evoke childhood memories but also present a golden opportunity to attract a new fan base.

We urge Level-5, Inc. to port the Yo-kai Watch series to current-generation consoles and expand its reach internationally. We believe that by responding to the passionate requests of fans, we can unlock new possibilities for this series. Please join us in signing this petition so that our voices are heard.

Additionally, we would greatly appreciate it if those who support this initiative would purchase Yo-kai Watch series titles available on current-generation consoles, even if only to the extent possible.

Specifically, if you purchase “Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android,” “Yo-kai Watch 4: We’re All Looking Up at the Same Sky” (the ++ version is also fine, of course), and “Yo-kai Gakuen Y: Wai Wai School Life,” it will not only provide a source of funding for the development of ports and remakes of the Yo-kai Watch series but also serve as an opportunity for Level-5 to understand the demand from fans.

(Please note that purchasing used copies of past titles in the series likely does not generate revenue for Level-5, so we ask that you purchase the current series titles whenever possible.)
