หยิบปืนยิงแม่อุรังอุตัง - มีกฎหมายแล้ว แต่ไม่ถูกบังคับใช้!?

สวัสดีผู้สนับสนุนทุกท่าน

ก่อนอื่นผมอยากขอขอบคุณทุกคนที่ร่วมลงชื่อสนับสนุนในแคมเปญเพื่อขอให้ลงโทษคนที่ทำร้ายแม่ลูกอุรังอุตังด้วยกระสุน 74 นัด ที่อาเจะห์ อินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งมีคนร่วมด้วยแล้วเกือบ 1 ล้านคนจากทั่วโลก 

อัพเดทล่าสุด เมื่ออาทิตย์ที่แล้ว ผมได้เข้าพบกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมทรัพยากร และเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจของอาเจะห์  เพื่อยื่นหนังสือร้องเรียนพร้อมกับรายชื่อผู้สนับสนุนทุกคน 

ถ้ายังจำกันได้ ผู้ที่ทำผิดสองรายที่ยังเป็นเยาวชนถูกจับกุมตัวและถูกสั่งลงโทษด้วยการทำความสะอาดมัสยิสเป็นเวลา 1 เดือน หลายๆ เสียงในโซเชียลมีเดียล ต่างเห็นไปในแนวทางเดียวกันว่า เป็นการลงโทษสถานเบา ที่ไม่แฟร์เอาซะเลย ผมได้แชร์ความเห็นเหล่านี้กับทางเจ้าหน้าที่ แต่ก็ได้รับคำตอบเพียงว่าคดีถูกปิดเรียบร้อยแล้ว จะเปลี่ยนคำตัดสินไม่ได้แล้ว แต่ยังไงก็ตาม ทางตำรวจได้รับปากว่า หากมีเคสแบบนี้เกิดขึ้นอีกจะตามมาด้วยการลงโทษสถานหนักอย่างแน่นอน  

อีกประเด็นก็คือ ผมรู้ว่าคนที่ทำผิดไม่ได้มีแค่ 2 คนที่ถูกจับได้ ทางตำรวจบอกว่าหากเจอหลักฐานใหม่ที่จะติดตามตัวคนทำผิดคนอื่นๆ ก็พร้อมที่จะเปิดคดีเพื่อพิจารณาใหม่ได้

เรื่องสุดท้าย - กฎหมายกำกับดูเเลการถือครองปืนอัดลม ช่องโหว่คือ แม้ว่าเรามีกฎหมายแล้ว แต่ยังไม่มีการบังคับใช้อย่างเคร่งครัด เหตุการณ์แบบนี้จึงเกิดขึ้นซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า เด็กและเยาวชนสามารถหยิบปืนอัดลมมายิงสัตว์ป่าเล่นได้อย่างไม่สนใจใคร 

ยังไงก็ตาม ผมอยากขอขอบคุณทุกคนจากใจ หนทางยังอีกยาวไกลสำหรับการต่อสู้เพื่อปกป้องทรัพยากรและสัตว์ป่า ผมอยากขอให้ทุกคนช่วยกันเเชร์แคมเปญนี้ต่อเพื่อแสดงจุดยืนไม่สนับสนุนการฆ่า ทำร้ายสัตว์ป่าไม่ว่าจะที่ใดบนโลกใบนี้ ...จากนี้และตลอดไป

Hi guys, 

I would like to thank you all for supporting this petition. I cannot believe it is almost 1 million supporters who is still fighting to prevent Hope shooting happens again. This sad story from 5 months ago will always leave a scar in every animal lovers and people who fight for its justice. 

I have some news for you. Last week, I went to The Aceh Conservation of Natural Resources and The Regional Police Office of Aceh for audiency and delivering this petition. If you remember, the Hope shooters have been punished by echoing praying and cleaning the mosque for a month.

Plenty of you has commented on social media, saying that this punishment is not fair. I have communicated your opinions and comments to The Aceh Conservation of Natural Resources and The Regional Police Office of Aceh. However, the case had been closed and that punishment is not possible to be changed anymore. Furthermore, The police officer promises to crack down the animal prosecution cases in the future. 

Beside this unfair punishment, the location of Hope shooting was far from its natural habitat. Hope had been running so far and there was another shooter had been shooting Hope along the way. Those 74 bullets were not shot only by those two defendants. Nowadays, Hope case has been closed. However, the case is still possible to be opened if new evidence is found and the shooter will be punished based on the right law. 

Last issue is about the regulation of  the air softgun. Turn out, the regulation of its trading has been already exist. But the implementation and the socialization is still far from enough. No wonder, even children are able to use it freely and shoot the wild animals. 

I would like to thank you all for fighting to investigate this case thoroughly. However, our fight to protect wild animals is still in a long journey. Let’s keep sharing this petition to support the better animal protection. For Hope and other animals in the vulnerable areas for prosecution in Indonesia.

My last hope for Hope is to be a hope that represent the power of nature.
