สรุปแล้ว บทลงโทษของมือปืนยิงแม่ลูกอุรังอุตังด้วยกระสุน 74 นัด...

สวัสดีครับทุกคน

ก่อนอื่น ต้องขอขอบคุณทุกคนที่ร่วมสนับสนุนเรื่องรณรงค์นี้ เพื่อขอให้ลงโทษคนที่ทำร้ายแม่ลูกอุรังอุตังด้วยกระสุน 74 นัด ที่ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ล่าสุด เรารวบรวมพลังเสียงจากทั่วโลกได้เกือบ 1 ล้านรายชื่อแล้ว และผมมีข่าวดีมาแจ้งให้ทราบ เราเจอตัวคนยิงอุรังอุตังแล้วครับ!

มือปืนสองคนเป็นผู้เยาว์ เรียนอยู่ชั้นมัธยม​ ชื่อย่อว่า AIS (อายุ 17 ปี)​ และ SS (อายุ 16 ปี)​ แม้จะยังไม่บรรลุนิติภาวะ แต่เชื่อว่าบทลงโทษของทั้งสองคนก็ยังไม่หนักพอสำหรับสิ่งที่เขาทำลงไป 

ผลก็คือ...เด็กชายทั้งสองคนถูกสั่งให้สวดมนต์และทำความสะอาดมัสยิดเป็นเวลา 1 เดือน โทษฐานที่ยิงเจ้าโฮป แม่อุรังอุตัง ด้วยกระสุนปืนอัดลมถึง 74 นัด และทำให้ลูกเล็กของมันต้องตาย เพราะโฮปไม่สามารถหาอาหารให้ลูกได้ขณะบาดเจ็บ

ทางสถานีตำรวจ สถานพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็ก และสำนักงานสังคมสงเคราะห์อาเจะห์ เห็นว่าเป็นบทลงโทษที่เหมาะสมแล้ว แล้วคุณล่ะครับ คิดว่าอย่างไร?

ผมคิดว่าบทลงโทษนี้ยังไม่รุนแรงพอ ผมเข้าใจดีว่าผู้กระทำผิดเป็นผู้เยาว์และไม่สามารถถูกปรับเงินหรือจำคุกได้ อย่างไรก็ตาม พวกเขาสมควรได้รับบทลงโทษที่สาหัสพอจนไม่กล้าทำผิดซ้ำ และบทลงโทษนั้นควรเกี่ยวข้องกับสิ่งที่ทำลงไป

• ทางเลือกอื่นคือ เราอาจให้พวกเขาบำเพ็ญประโยชน์เพื่อช่วยเหลือ ฟื้นฟูสิ่งแวดล้อมทุกๆ วัน เป็นเวลาอย่างน้อย 6 เดือน เช่น ช่วยปลูกป่า ทำความสะอาดพื้นที่อุทยาน หรือเป็นอาสาสมัครที่สถานคุ้มครองอุรังอุตัง 

เจ้าโฮปสูญเสียการมองเห็นในตาทั้งสองข้าง และยังคงพักฟื้นร่างกายและจิตใจอยู่ที่สถานคุ้มครองอุรังอุตัง คนที่ยิงมันควรได้เห็นผลลัพธ์ของการกระทำที่โหดเหี้ยมและไร้ความรับผิดชอบของพวกเขา

บทลงโทษนี้ไม่เพียงแต่จะช่วยให้เด็กทั้งสองคนเข้าใจสิ่งที่เขาทำลงไป แต่จะช่วยให้พวกเขาได้ใกล้ชิดกับสัตว์ด้วย ซึ่งก็หวังว่าจะทำให้พวกเขากลายเป็นคนที่รักธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่ามากขึ้น และนอกจากนี้ยังแสดงให้สังคมเห็นด้วยว่า ผู้ที่กระทำการทารุณสัตว์จะต้องถูกลงโทษตามความผิด ไม่ควรเอาเป็นเยี่ยงอย่าง

มาร่วมกันผลักดันให้สถานีตำรวจท้องถิ่นของอินโดฯ เปลี่ยนบทลงโทษกันเถอะครับ เราต้องแสดงจุดยืนว่าบทลงโทษนี้ไม่เหมาะสม ไม่สามารถยับยั้งผู้กระทำผิดจากการกระทำซ้ำ และไม่สร้างความตระหนักรู้แก่สังคม

เราจะรวบรวมทุกรายชื่อและความคิดเห็นไปยื่นกับทางสถานีตำรวจในวันจันทร์ที่จะถึงนี้ (5 สิงหาคม) ช่วยแชร์และสนับสนุนเรื่องนี้ต่อไปนะครับ

Halo everyone, 

Firstly, I want to thank you for supporting this petition, which has almost one million signatures. There is good news: we found the shooters!

The two shooters are underage namely AIS (17 yo.) who is in his freshman year in high school and SS (16 yo.) who is in his final year in junior high. 

Even though they are underage, sanction to their crime is considered unproportional. They are only told to recite Moslem prayers and clean the mosque for a month.

Meanwhile, they shot Orangutan Hope with 74 airsoft gun bullets. The baby orangutan died because Hope cannot feed him due to her shot wounds. 

According to the local police station Polsek Sultan Daulat Polres Aceh Singkil, the youth detention center, and Aceh Singkil social service, the sentence is appropriate. What do you think?

I think, the sentence would not deter them. I understand that the shooters are underage and therefore cannot be arrested or fined. But, they should be given punishment that has deterrence effect and is related to their crime. 

For example, they should be given a guidance program for at least 6 months. During that program, everyday they will have to do community services. For example, planting trees, cleaning conservation area, or volunteer at the Orangutan Quarantine Center!

Hope is still at the Orangutan Quarantine Center in with her blinded eyes. Her recovery, both physical and psychological, is still in progress. So, the shooter must know the consequences of their irresponsible action to Hope’s recovery.

This sentence would not only make them understand the consequences of their actions but also would bring them closer to animals. It is hoped that they will be more caring to nature and animals around them. This sentence can also be an example to the public that animal abuse will be punished accordingly. 

Let’s push the local police station Sultan Daulat Polres Aceh Singkil, the social service, and the youth detention center to change the punishment. Remind them that their punishment is unproportional and would not create deterrence effect to the shooter and will not increase the awareness of the public.
