স্বৈরাচারের বিচার এবং সংস্কার ছাড়া জাতীয় নির্বাচন নয় — জনগণের ভোটের অধিকার রক্ষায় এখনই এক হই!

আমরা আজ দাঁড়িয়েছি ইতিহাসের এক সন্ধিক্ষণে। বারবার দেখা গেছে, বিচারহীনতা ও সংস্কারহীনতার পথ ধরে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনা ভুলুণ্ঠিত হয়েছে, আর জনগণের অধিকার বারবার হরণ করেছে একের পর এক স্বৈরাচার। এখন আবার সেই অন্ধকার অতীত ফিরে আসার আশঙ্কা, যখন অপরাধীর বিচার হয় না, আর জনগণের কণ্ঠ রুদ্ধ করে চলে যায় একটি কথিত "নির্বাচন"।

বারবার দেখা গেছে—বিচারহীনতা ও অব্যবস্থার মধ্য দিয়ে সম্পন্ন হওয়া নির্বাচন দেশের গণতন্ত্রকে আরও দুর্বল করে।

🔴 ১৯৭৫ সালের পর থেকে বাংলাদেশে অন্তত ১৫ বার সামরিক বা ছদ্ম সামরিক হস্তক্ষেপের মাধ্যমে গণতন্ত্র হরণ হয়েছে।🔴 Transparency International-এর রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বিচারহীনতার সংস্কৃতি বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম বড় দুর্নীতির উৎস।
🔴 ২০১৪ ও ২০১৮ সালের নির্বাচনকে আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যবেক্ষক সংস্থাগুলো "ত্রুটিপূর্ণ" ও "অনুষ্ঠানিক মাত্র" বলে অভিহিত করেছে, যেখানে লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষ ভোটাধিকার প্রয়োগ করতে পারেনি।

আমরা এই পিটিশনের মাধ্যমে জোরালোভাবে দাবি জানাচ্ছি:

🔴 গণহত্যাকারী ও স্বৈরাচারী শাসকদের যথাযথ বিচার নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
🔴 বিচার ও প্রয়োজনীয় রাজনৈতিক সংস্কার সম্পূর্ণ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত কোনো জাতীয় নির্বাচন গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।
🔴 জনগণের ইচ্ছার বিরুদ্ধে কোনো চাপিয়ে দেয়া নির্বাচন আমরা মানব না, মেনে নেব না।

আমরা দেখছি, এক শ্রেণির সুবিধাভোগী ও অপরাধের সহযোগীরা তড়িঘড়ি করে নির্বাচন চাইছে — যাতে বিচারের দাবি ধামাচাপা পড়ে, এবং ন্যায়বিচারের দাবিগুলোকে চাপা দেওয়া যায়। অথচ এই সরকার গঠিত হয়েছিল বিপ্লবী শক্তির হাত ধরে, জনগণের আন্দোলনের ফল হিসেবে। আজ যদি আমরা আবারও চুপ করে থাকি, তাহলে ইতিহাস আমাদের ক্ষমা করবে না।

তথ্য বলছে, বিচারহীনতার কারণে বাংলাদেশে এখনো রাজনৈতিক সহিংসতা ও মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘন অব্যাহত:

📌 ২০১3 সালের পর থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত প্রায় ৫০০+ রাজনৈতির সহিংসতায় মানুষ নিহত হয়েছে, যার সুষ্ঠু বিচার হয়নি।
📌 Human Rights Watch ও Amnesty International বারবার উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছে বিচারব্যবস্থার রাজনৈতিক প্রভাব এবং নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর বেআইনি ক্ষমতার বিষয়ে।

আজকে আমরা যদি বিচার ও সংস্কারের দাবিকে পাশ কাটিয়ে তাড়াহুড়ো করে নির্বাচন করি, তাহলে আমরা কেবল পতিত  স্বৈরাচারকে নয়, বরং ভবিষ্যতের স্বৈরাচারকেও আমন্ত্রণ জানাচ্ছি।

গণতন্ত্র মানে কেবলমাত্র ভোট নয় — গণতন্ত্র মানে বিচার, জবাবদিহিতা ও জনগণের ইচ্ছার প্রতিফলন।

No National Election Without Justice and Reform — Stand for Democracy, Stand for Truth

We stand today at a critical turning point in our nation’s history. Time and again, elections held without accountability and reform have only deepened the crisis of democracy in Bangladesh. Without justice, there can be no genuine people's mandate — only another opportunity for tyranny.

🔴 Since 1975, Bangladesh has experienced at least 15 military or quasi-military interventions, derailing democratic processes.
🔴 According to Transparency International, a culture of impunity remains one of the primary enablers of systemic corruption.
🔴 The 2014 and 2018 elections were widely criticized by international observers as "flawed" and "ceremonial," where millions of citizens were denied the right to vote freely.

We, the concerned citizens of this nation, demand the following:

✅ Proper prosecution of those responsible for state violence and authoritarian rule
✅ No national election until judicial and political reforms are fully implemented
✅ No election imposed under pressure or external influence, against the will of the people
Facts matter. Without justice and reform:

📌 Over 500 people have died in politically motivated violence since 2013, with few held accountable.
📌 Organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have repeatedly expressed concern over political influence in the judiciary and extrajudicial abuses by law enforcement.

If we rush into another election without addressing these structural injustices, we are not only legitimizing the current autocracy but paving the way for future ones.

Democracy is not just about casting votes — it's about accountability, justice, and the will of the people.

Students and ordinary citizens have already taken to the streets in defense of their rights. Will you remain silent?
