تطبيق ستيم يدعم 29 لغة، والعربية ليست منها. لذلك نستخدمه كلنا بالإنجليزية، ويحسبنا استبيان ستيم الشهري متحدثين بالإنجليزية، فتظهر العربية فيه 0.00%. والمطورون يختارون لغات ألعابهم من هذا الاستبيان، فتسقط العربية من حساباتهم.

لكن بيانات ستيم نفسها ترانا: لو كان العالم العربي دولة واحدة لكان رقم 13 في تحميلات ستيم بين 239 دولة، بعد تركيا وكوريا مباشرة. ومع ذلك تدعم العربية 7.8% فقط من الألعاب الأكثر مبيعًا، بينما تدعم الإيطالية 52% منها، وإيطاليا تحمّل نصف ما نحمّله.

وقد بدأ ستيم بإضافة العربية لموقعه في 2025، ثم توقف.

نطلب من Valve:
1. إعادة العربية لقائمة اللغات وإكمال ترجمتها.
2. دعم الكتابة من اليمين لليسار بخط واضح.
3. إضافة العربية لتطبيق ستيم، ليحسبنا الاستبيان كما نحن.
4. السماح للمطورين بوصف عربي لصفحات ألعابهم.

We're Arab players who use and love Steam. We're asking it for one thing: to see us.

The Steam app supports 29 languages, and Arabic isn't one of them. So we all use Steam in English, Steam's monthly survey counts us as English speakers, and Arabic shows up as 0.00%. Developers pick their languages from that survey, so Arabic drops off their list.

Yet Steam's own data sees us: if the Arab world were one country, it would be #13 of 239 in Steam downloads, right behind Turkey and Korea. Still, only 7.8% of top sellers support Arabic, while 52% support Italian, and Italy downloads half as much as we do.

Steam started adding Arabic to its website in 2025, then stopped.

We ask Valve to:
1. Put Arabic back in the language menu and finish the translation.
2. Support right-to-left layout with a readable font.
3. Add Arabic to the Steam app, so the survey counts us as we are.
4. Let developers publish Arabic store descriptions.
