به کمیسیون امور خارجی پارلمان هلند

 

ما، امضاکنندگان این نامه، تصمیم کمیسیون امور خارجی هلند برای لغو دعوت شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در پارلمان هلند را قویاً محکوم می‌کنیم.

شاهزاده رضا پهلوی برجسته‌ترین چهره‌ی مخالف جمهوری اسلامی و نماینده میلیون‌ها ایرانی است که برای ایرانی دموکراتیک، سکولار و آزاد مبارزه می‌کنند. حذف صدای ایشان و مردم ایران از چنین رویداد مهم بین‌المللی نه‌تنها توهینی به مردم ایران است، بلکه با اصول آزادی بیان و دموکراسی، که هلند و متحدانش به آن پایبندند، مغایرت دارد.

 

این تصمیم در حالی اتخاذ شده که جمهوری اسلامی ایران همچنان به سرکوب معترضان، اعدام مخالفان و نقض حقوق بشر ادامه می‌دهد. در چنین شرایطی، نادیده گرفتن یا حذف نمایندگان واقعی مردم ایران تنها به نفع رژیم سرکوبگر تهران خواهد بود.

 

ما از کمیسیون امور خارجی پارلمان هلند درخواست می‌کنیم که این موضوع را در مجامع دیپلماتیک و بین‌المللی مطرح کرده و مخالفت خود را با حذف چهره‌های اپوزیسیون دموکراتیک ایران از نشست‌های مهم بین‌المللی اعلام کند. هلند همواره از حقوق بشر و ارزش‌های دموکراتیک دفاع کرده است و حمایت از مبارزان آزادی‌خواه ایرانی در راستای این اصول قرار دارد.

To the Dutch Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs

 

We, the undersigned, strongly condemn the decision of the Dutch Committee on Foreign Affairs to revoke Prince Reza Pahlavi’s invitation to the Dutch Parliament.

 

Prince Reza Pahlavi is only prominent opposition figures against the Islamic Republic and represents millions of Iranians striving for a democratic, secular, and free Iran. Silencing his voice and that of the Iranian people at such an important international event is not only an insult to the people of Iran but also contradicts the principles of freedom of speech and democracy, which the Netherlands and its allies uphold.

 

This decision comes at a time when the Islamic Republic of Iran continues its repression of protesters, execution of dissidents, and violations of human rights. In such circumstances, ignoring or excluding the legitimate representatives of the Iranian people only serves the interests of Tehran’s oppressive regime.

 

We urge the Dutch Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs to address this matter in diplomatic and international forums and to take a stand against the exclusion of Iranian democratic opposition figures from key international events. The Netherlands has always defended human rights and democratic values, and supporting Iranian freedom fighters aligns with these principles.
