The Coordinating Council of the Protests in the USA is asking you to support a bipartisan initiative "Holding Russia Accountable for Malign Activities Act of 2021" introduced by U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-Del.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Mitt Romney (R-Utah), and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.). The legislation is aiming to impose personal sanctions within the Magnitsky Act on those involved in poisoning of a Russian political leader and Putin’s critic Alexey Navalny.

Also, we are asking you to support personal sanctions against 35 individuals listed in  the letter to President Biden from Vladimir Ashurkov, a colleague of Alexey Navalny:

In the letter, Ashurkov says:

«Before Navalny returned to Russia, we made a list of 35 Russian individuals that I am sharing with you and your administration. We have concluded that each of these individuals actively participates in the oppression and corruption of Putin's regime. Sanctioning these individuals, freezing their assets, barring them from entering the U.S. and from doing business with American companies, would create a substantial cost for their actions and serve as a deterrent to other members of the political and business elite. It would be a powerful way to encourage change.

We divided our list into three groups:

- Oligarchs upon whom  Putin has bestowed  wealth  and  power, and  who  wield  it on behalf  of  the regime;

- Human rights abusers and those who suppress fundamental civil and political freedoms;

- Individuals specifically involved in persecution of Navalny and our organization.»

Координационный Штаб Организаторов Протестов в США просит всех неравнодушных русскоязычных жителей США и их американских сторонников поддержать двухпартийный законопроект “Holding Russia Accountable for Malign Activities Act of 2021” внесенный сенаторами США Крисом Кунсом (D-Del.), Марко Рубио (R-Fla.), Беном Кардином (D-Md.), Миттом Ромни (R-Utah), и Крисом Ван Холленом (D-Md.) расширению списка Магнитского в связи с отравлением Навального.

Также мы призываем поддержать введение персональных санкций против 35 человек, предложенных «Фондом Борьбы с коррупцией» в письме Владимира Ашуркова президенту США Байдену. Мы считаем, что индивидуальные санкции - это мощный аргумент против безнаказанности преступных действий.
