Українська Православна Церква США нині розглядає продаж нашого Культурного Центру та Музею в Саут Баунд Бруку — самого серця нашої духовної й культурної спадщини в Америці — через нестачу коштів.

Але це не просто будівлі. Їх створив патріарх Мстислав як святиню для нашої віри, історії та душі української діаспори. Тут поховані наші мученики. Тут живе наша пам’ять. І тепер керівництво готується це продати.

Я вірю, що ми можемо краще.

Кілька місяців тому я створила повноцінний план церковного табору — заснований на традиції, спільноті та сталому розвитку. Я виросла в цьому таборі. Він сформував мою віру. Я надіслала план керівництву в Баунд Брук — і не отримала жодної відповіді.

Мій тато — священник у нашій єпархії, рукоположений патріархом Мстиславом. Мої предки поховані в Баунд Бруку. Церква — це не частина мого життя. Це моє життя.

Та все ж керівництво блокує або ігнорує будь-які ініціативи від тих, хто ще дбає. Кажуть, немає грошей. Але відвертаються від тих, хто має ідеї, плани й серце.

Мої прадідусь і прабабуся із Самбора заклали свій дім, щоби допомогти збудувати українську православну церкву біля Піттсбурга. Ту церкву вже закрито.

Я не можу мовчки дивитись, як ця траєкторія триває — закриття церков, мовчання вірних, продаж святинь.

У всій об’єднаній єпархії залишилось лише близько 5 000 вірян. Якщо ми хочемо мати майбутнє, мусимо діяти вже.

Якщо ви вірите у спадщину, яку залишив патріарх Мстислав — у збереження нашої Церкви, нашої історії та нашої духовної спадщини — ми мусимо об’єднатися.

Відродімо те, що ще живе. Зупинімо повільне вимирання.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA is now considering selling our Cultural Center and Museum at South Bound Brook — the very heart of our spiritual and cultural heritage in America — because of a lack of funds.

These aren’t just buildings. Patriarch Mstyslav built them as a sanctuary for our faith, our history, and our diaspora’s soul. It is where our martyrs are buried. Where our stories live. And now, leadership is preparing to let it go.

I believe we can do better.

Months ago, I created a full church camp proposal — rooted in tradition, community, and sustainable growth. I grew up going to that camp. It shaped my faith. I sent the plan to leadership at South Bound Brook — and heard nothing back.

My father is a priest in this diocese, ordained by Patriarch Mstyslav. My ancestors are buried at Bound Brook. This Church is not just part of my life — it is my life.

And yet, leadership continues to block or ignore all initiative from those who still care. They say there is no money. But they turn away those with ideas, plans, and passion.

My great-grandparents from Sambir mortgaged their home to help build a Ukrainian Orthodox church outside of Pittsburgh. That church is now closed.

I cannot sit by and watch this trajectory continue — closing churches, silencing the faithful, selling off our sacred spaces.

We only have around 5,000 members left across the combined diocese. If we want a future, we must act now.

If you believe in preserving what Patriarch Mstyslav built — in saving our Church, our history, and our children’s inheritance — we must unite.

Let’s revive what still lives. Let’s stop the slow death.
Let’s act — before it’s too late.
