Hi everyone

I wanted to share some fabulous news about our petition to get Video Conferencing Platforms to provide free auto captions for people with hearing loss. Our voices are being heard.

Google just announced it will make its premium video conferencing product, Google Meet, free for everyone. This includes access to free real time captions. Thank you Google for bringing increased accessibility to us all. Free access will begin on a rolling basis in May. Sign up to be notified when it’s available. Read Google’s full announcement here.

This is wonderful news from Google and will make a big difference for the hearing loss community. Zoom, Microsoft and other video conferencing services must now do the same.

Thank you for all that you have done to show support! We just crossed 10,000 signatures! Let’s keep the momentum going to get the other companies on board. Here’s a link to share: change.org/living-with-hearing-loss
