SOLAR/POWER PLANTS, 

AMENDMENT SUMMARY

1) SOLAR/INDUSTRIAL POWER PLANTS-Stricter Zoning provisions that regulate SOLAR FARMS and all industrial power plants developed, owned and operated by Big Corporations will be affected. The amendment addresses rezoning of land at locations for power plants, as well as, issues addressing setbacks, buffering, land coverage and density of development, public water requirements, fencing and other provisions. The amendment also stipulates State and Federal requirements for these utility-scale power plants. "Solar" Power plant companies anticipate between 10,000-20,000 acres of land in Hardeman County and require the facilities to be fenced off. Wildlife habitat and farmland will be severely impacted by the Solar industry without constraints. AG Farms or SOLAR Farms? This is the time to be heard!
