APC, PDP and SDP should Zone Cross River State 2023 Governorship Back2South

The Issue

Dear Cross Riverians, as we approach the 2023 Governorship elections, it is important that we let ALL political parties  know the we the people of Cross River State support the zoning and rotation of the office of the Governor between the South, Central and North Senatorial District and declare that in 2023 it is the turn of the South Senatorial District to produce the Governor.

The principle of zoning and sequential rotation was anchored in the Calabar Ogoja Accord of 1980 and reaffirmed in the Calabar Declaration of 5 November 2021 in the interest of fairness, equity and peaceful co -existence.

Since 1999, the beginning of the current unbroken Democratic dispensation, each zone has produced a Governor who served 2 terms of 4 years each. First, in 1999, a Governor from the South Senatorial District, Governor Donald Duke governed CRS for 8 years, next a Governor from the Central Senatorial District, Governor Liyel Imoke governed CRS for 8 years, next and most recently, a Governor from the North Senatorial District, Gov. Ben Ayade has governed CRS for 6 years with less that 2 years to go.

Having rotated sequentially for over 20 years, it is now the turn of the South in 2023 to produce the next Governor of the State.

Please sign this petition to send a clear message to ALL political parties that we the people, want the office of the Governor to be zoned NOW by ALL political parties to the South Senatorial District as we approach the 2023 electoral cycle.

Back2South because it is the fair, just, equitable and peaceful thing to do!!!

Please join this petition. Thank you abundantly!
