Additional safety measures are NOT needed at 875/400S per town's current stance yet...
All of the circled areas have a 4 way stop. The only exception is the top right corner (975E/375S) at which a STOP SIGN SPINNER was recently added this past few months, but nobody from Town will respond why or how that addition was made. I don't think a traffic study or a petition was needed. I appreciate the additional attention the spinner provides and continue to ask for AT LEAST this at 875/400S. The speed limits on all the parallel north/south and east/west roads are the same (county roads probably all have 40mph except for the temporary reduction in the Heritage Traill School zone). The question remains is that why is our Town considering the 875E/400S intersection any different than the other intersections:? The irony is that THIS MOST TRAVELED INTERSECTION HAS A THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC CONTROLS AND POSSIBLY THE HIGHEST HIGH NUMBER OF SERIOUS RECENT ACCIDENTS (3 side impact high speed 40mph in 3 months)
Hoping that this visual would bring this discrepancy and continued risk a more obvious.
