AXS needs to require a bot checking service while allowing people to buy tickets. It is absolutely absurd that scalpers are able to swoop in and buy up all tickets to events at Red Rocks in a matter of seconds; just to resell them for 2x or in some cases even 4x the original asking price by the artist promoting the event. In addition to this, allowing scalpers to buy 8 tickets at a time makes it even EASIER for them to take up all the tickets. The limit should be reduced to 2 tickets per purchaser. It not only makes it economically improbable for people who actually want to attend the event to buy tickets, but also takes away from the profit of the actual performers and the venue hosting the event, and gives it to the scalpers scamming people out of their hard earned money. The music industry has already taken a massive hit due to COVID and this is only making the problem worse. Together, by signing this petition, we are boycotting these absurd ticket prices by not buying them, and collectively, we can take the power away from the scalpers. Zeds Dead specifically needs to address this issue as almost none of their fans were able to get tickets at the asking price for DeadRocks this year.
