Any real chicken salad connoisseur knows that Zaxby’s chicken salad sandwich is UNMATCHED.

Every Sunday my friends and I all take a field trip to Zaxby’s to order our favorite recovery meal which is almost always followed by a couch nap. From the lightly toasted honey wheat bread, to the refreshing tomato and shredded lettuce, Zaxby’s chicken salad sandwich never disappoints. 

Unfortunately when I took my weekly trip to experience the sensation, the drive thru window displayed news that has RATTLED NC State’s campus. A label that reads “Farewell :(“ strikes out the infamous menu item. I have truly never felt disappointment to this degree ever before in my 21 years. I felt the familiar heartbreak experienced during a break up, or losing a loved one. Zaxby’s is family.

People come and go, but I never thought I’d see my one true love go so soon. 

The sudden menu change also includes items such as the onion rings, buffalo dip, and zestable dip.
