For 15 years, Alfonso worked hard at Zane’s cycle’s warehouse located at 182 Cedar St, Branford, CT 06405. He proudly provided a high quality work by solving and fixing high tech bicycle problems.

On September 2015, the workers at Zane’s voted to organize their Union and won! Right after, the boss Christopher Zane’s, cut their pay by almost 30% and laid off 3 of Alfonso’s co-workers. Zane’s never negotiated in good faith a collective bargaining agreement that could provide good benefits, dignity and respect to its workers.

On October 13th, 2017, Alfonso was let go by his manager without any other reason than “Christopher does not want you here” Alfonso supports a family of four, including two daughters, ages seven and ten. His sudden loss of employment has been a traumatic and disruptive experience for his family and especially his children.
