Acid attacks statistics show that the amount of acid attacks happening per year has almost doubled. On average about 2 cases of an acid attack are reported per day. There are fears that numbers will surpass over 600. The UK has the highest rates of recorded acid attacks and the only way to stop this is to stop it being sold on our high streets as well as introducing harsher legislation. 

 Just take into consideration the number of lives that would be saved if there was a ban on the retail of corrosive substances.

To add these corrosive substances should be sold only to those who have a license to buy. Additionally, the persons name should be also noted and checked through national databases to see if the person is fit to be buying it. This will then prevent evil attackers from getting the acid into their possession.
