We, the undersigned, have a deep concern for our local high school children and support the idea of allowing spectators to attend local High School Sports within recommended guidelines of CDC or AZ Government. High school sports, band and cheer/spirit are a chance for these kids to shine in front of their loved ones and be positively affected not only physically, but mentally as well. No AIA, AAU, CDC or AZ Government guidelines state recommendation for disallowing spectators to attend these events. The signatures below represent members of the community who hope YUHSD will allow a somewhat normal, fulfilling season in this completely abnormal situation we find ourselves in. We recognize that if this is to be our new normal, children will especially need parental and community support; spectators at their events are a way to provide said support.
