Every year, 10,000 dogs are tortured and killed for the YuLin Dog Meat Festival. These dogs are taken from their homes and families, dragged by a rope attached to a car, skinned alive, burned alive, boiled alive, and sometimes killed in front of an audience during the festival. According to reports, the local government has "banned" the festival - but this has been described as "semantics" by activists. Even though YuLin officials say that eating dogs is an old Chinese tradition but it is a commercial activity masquerading as a regional tradition. This year preparations have already started and dogs have been collected but if we act now then we can save hundreds of dogs' lives from being killed. 

How would you feel if you were taken away from your home and family, dragged by a rope attached to a car, forced into a small cage, severely beaten; skinned, burned, and boiled alive? Would you just except your fate or would you fight to stop this and make sure that the people who did this would pay for what they did? These dogs can't speak for themselves so we have to be their voices.
