It has been very hard to know we did not get the festival to end this year. The ban that was supposed to happen never did. This was so disappointing because it stopped some people from protesting who would have been there. All we can do now is not give up the fight. We have to keep writing and sending emails to those who can make this change. In the end it will take the Chinese people to come together and show their government that they want the tortured cat and dog meat trade to end. Until that happens we need to support those warriors who are on the ground saving as many souls as they can. The video reports sent out about the horror has been hard to watch but we have to. Ignoring the cruelty is not an option. The people who leave there homes and jobs to travel to countries that torture dogs and cats for meat need our love and financial support. They need help with supporting and caring for the animals they save. They risk there lives to do this. Two organizations have really stepped up. Marc Ching has been a true hero along with Nami Kim they have saved 100's of souls. Here is a way you can donate and show your support. Visit savekoreandogs.org and http://animalhopeandwellness.org/marc-ching/ Please send e-mails to government officials who can make this end. Cui Tiankai- Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to the United States. chineseembassyspokesperson@gmail.com Chen Wu- Yulin City Governor contact@ebeijing.gov.cn Shao Qiwei- Chairman of China National Tourism Administration la@cnto.org Li Jinzao- Director of the Chinese National Tourism Administration ny@cnto.org This is just one horrific issue of animal cruelty but it happens all over the world and it is over whelming. I am never going to quit until all animals every where live a life with out cruelty. I encourage to you to choose meals that do not include animals. There are no happy slaughter houses and they are almost as cruel as this festival. The United States has many suffering animals so while we are looking at China we need to take a hard look at our own culture. We need to step up and stop the cruelty for all animals every where. Thank you all for caring. Jennifer
