Typhoon Cinema is a YouTube channel that claims to promote other people's work to give them attention, and claim to get permission from every person they reupload from.

Unfortunately, recent events have shown that this is a lie. Typhoon Cinema exploits other YouTubers in order to profit off of their hard work, paying them only about 1/6 of what the video will potentially make. They've been shown to spam YouTube with pornographic clickbait created by minors, and have paid minors under the age of 14 to make low effort content for them. Both of these break United States law, as well as the YouTube Terms of Service.

While Typhoon Cinema is based in Switzerland, YouTube can still do something to end this scam channel for good. When given multiple copyright strikes (12-30 at the least), Typhoon Cinema went down for two weeks. However, as of June 23rd, 2016, for no apparent reason, YouTube decided to reinstate the channel with no explanation as to why.

While Typhoon Cinema thinks they're benefiting creators, they're actually damaging them, by reuploading works without consent, or notice, and sometimes without permission or monetary compensation. When valid copyright claims were given to them for their stolen content, they attempted to counter-claim all of them by threatening a lawyer, claiming that what happened was sabotage.

By signing this petition, you are telling YouTube that Typhoon Cinema should not be allowed to be on YouTube anymore, and that they need to be taken down for good.
