Sylvia Snowden, a writer for a not so popular magazine called Ebony Magazine, has recently accused Tommy Sotomayor of being an "irresponsible malicious, perpetrator of misogynistic and racist hatred that spreads negative and degrading messages, imagery, views and stereotypes about black women on a daily, regular and consistent basis." However, Tommy Sotomayor is simply using his right to freedom of Speech while using the Social Media platform to do so, by sharing a plethra of news stories from around the US with his large audience. Numerous real life news stories, already making their way around the internet showing black woman who abuse, fight, steal, shoot, and degrade eachother and others, including children and particularly BLACK MEN. So I ask: How has Tommy Sotomayor been anymore irresponsible than the black women themselves that display these negative and degrading acts, and imagery on social media, on regular and consistent basis?
