There is a genre on YouTube of staged animal rescues that disguise themselves as "wholesome" content. However, the individuals operating these channels are voluntarily devising distressing situations for animals, intentionally placing animals in life-threatening circumstances, abusing them in the act, and even killing them for content to gain profit from. There have been indisputable connections discovered between these channels - identical animals utilised in various video, the same individual nonchalantly stumbling upon animals in harm during their daily activities and "saving" them, same locations, same stories, same language, exact thumbnails, duplicate tags, etc. 

YouTube asserts not to post content if "there is infliction of unnecessary suffering or harm deliberately causing an animal distress" and "animals are encouraged or coerced to fight by humans." (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802008?hl=en) Their content goes against these guidelines, yet hasn't been removed.
