The Issue

Call to Action

YouTube's ad overload affects everyone-students, creators, disabled users, low-income viewers, and anyone who relies on  the platform for learning, connection, or entertainment. If you're tired of constant interruptions, stacked ads, and being pushed toward Premium just to watch a single video, add your voice.

Sign this petition to demand that Google Inc. step in and restore a fair, accessible YouTube experience. Every signature increases the pressure and shows that users are done being ignored. We deserve better-and together, we can push for real change.

YouTube has become nearly unusable for everyday viewers. Ads are no longer occasional interruptions-they're constant, stacked, intrusive, and deliberately designed to push users into paying for Premium. This isn't fair, and it isn't sustainable. Millions of people rely on YouTube for education, entertainment, accessibility, and connection, yet the platform continues to overload videos with aggressive advertising that disrupts the experience and harms users who can't afford subscription fees.

This petition calls on Google Inc., the company responsible for YouTube's policies, to reduce ad overload and restore a fair, accessible viewing experience. Users deserve a platform that respects their time, their attention, and their ability to participate without being punished by excessive ads.

We, the viewers of YouTube, are tired. Not "need a nap" tired - we're emotionally dehydrated from being smacked with ads every 90 seconds like we owe Google rent.

This petition demands that YouTube stop turning basic video watching into an endurance sport and restore a reasonable, humane ad experience.

The Problem:

YouTube currently serves ads like it's trying to win a competition we didn't agree to.
We get:

Ads before the video
Ads after the video
Ads during the video
Ads during the emotional climax
Ads during the quiet part
Ads during the part where the creator says "so anyway-" and then BOOM, insurance commercial.

It's like trying to watch a video in the middle of a mall kiosk.

User Experience Decline:

Videos now pause mid-sentence so we can hear about crypto, toothpaste, or a mobile game that looks like it was made by three raccoons in a garage.
This isn't "Supporting creators." This is interrupting creators.

YouTube's current strategy feels like: "Make the free version unbearable so people will pay."

Premium Pressure:

Premium should be an upgrade-not the only way to escape an ad-induced psychological warfare.

Our Demands
Reasonable ad limits one pre-roll. One mid roll. Not "Six ads because we felt spicy today."
2. No mid-sentence ad attacks.
3. Premium should be optional, not a survival mechanism.
4. Let people choose Premium because they want perks-not because they're trying to escape ad purgatory.

Tell us how many ads a video will have before we click it. Let us decide whether we want to suffer.

Respect for low-income viewers

Not everyone can afford subscriptions. Punishing poverty is not a good business model.

Creators shouldn't have to cram ads into their videos like they're stuffing a suitcase before a flight.

YouTube is used for:

Education
Entertainment
News
Comfort
Background Noise
Mental health breaks
Learning how to fix things we broke

Turning it into an ad obstacle course hurts everyone-especially the people who rely on it the most.

Stop making basic access to content miserable.

Stop burying videos under endless ads.
Stop punishing people who can't afford Premium.
Start respecting the viewers who made your platform successful.

We want a platform that works for EVERYONE, not just those who can pay to escape frustration.

Please sign this petition to demand a fair, balanced, and actually watchable YouTube experience.

Let's tell YouTube-with humor and clarity- that we're done being ad-pinatas.

This petition is directed to Google Inc., the parent company responsible for YouTube's policies, ad systems, and user-experience standards. Google holds the authority to instruct YouTube Leadership, the Ads Product Team, and the User Experience Team to reduce overload, stop aggressive Premium pressure, and restore a fair, accessible viewing experience for all users.

By addressing Google Inc., this petition calls on the company to take responsibility for the growing frustration, accessibility barriers, and negative impact caused by excessive and intrusive on YouTube. Users deserve a platform that respects their time, attention, and ability to engage without constant interruption.

YouTube is too important to be buried under nonstop ads and pressure tactics. Viewers deserve a platform that respects their time, their attention, and their ability to participate without being forced into a paid subscription. By signing this petition, you're adding your voice to a growing demand for a fair, accessible, and user-friendly YouTube.

Google Inc. has the power to fix this. Users have the power to insist on it. Together, we can push for a platform that serves its community instead of overwhelming it.
