Demonetization is a problem.
The Issue
Demonetization is a problem on YouTube. People put effort and time into crafting their videos. Sometimes they are advertiser friendly, with no swearing and not so friendly jokes. An example of the whole demonetization situation is the Logan Paul situation. How can a person film a dead body, giggle at it, and still be monetized for this?
But before people sign this without knowing what demonetization is, demonetization is a way of telling you that your video is not suitable for advertisers and that advertisements cannot be displayed. This could probably be because you swore, made an offensive joke, or broke any community guidelines that YouTube has made for their creators. There are videos that should be demonetized and videos that shouldn't. And that's the problem. There are bots that have a purpose in helping YouTube staff deciding wether a video should be demonetized or not. And I am making this petition to let YouTube staff to watch videos that are requested to be monetized, make reasonable decisions to make a video not suitable for advertisers, and actually give reasons to people who actually want to know why they got demonetized.
People use YouTube as a job, they need money to support themselves from going homeless, and the creators are the workers who get very small wages. Sign this petition and maybe we can change YouTube for good. Sign this petition to help creators you love. #fixyoutube
