Every day YouTubers face an onslaught of unjustified copyright claims from companies and users alike. In this hostile environment YouTube only amplifies the problem by crippling the YouTubers. In the current system disputing a
claim is the only thing a channel can really do to protect itself and even this ability is limited by YouTube because if your dispute is rejected by the copyright claimant then your account receives a strike so if a YouTuber sends out 3 disputes and they all fail their account is terminated. This system is extremely unfair to YouTubers who are trying to make a legitimate living legally using copyrighted material. The solution to this system is to allow YouTubers to fight these unfair claims by to striking their account until it is proven they have illegally used copyrighted material in their videos.
