Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for all the people that signed the petition!! When I made this petition,I had no clue how the process would be on getting a field named after my dad. With the help of a  Dearborn Heights city councilmen, that was actually a friend and player of my dad, we are got the process started. 

We met with the superintendent and president of the board of education today. They loved the idea and will be talking about it in the next month with their other board members. The goal is to get it on the agenda and there will be a vote!! We would want Polk field to be named after my Dad because he grew up on Mayfair street and lived the rest of his life there. Fingers crossed it all works out!!!
