That's not a crazy woman; that's my Mom!” 911 Operator: “Okay Sir, I do not recommend making that threat over a recorded line. The night of this 911 call resulted in a protection order that ripped this child’s mother, Ms. Hubbell, out of her life. It also gagged Ms. Hubbell from speaking her truth. This incident has resulted in a string of events that threaten Lydia with loss of all contact with her daughter. This protection order was based on lies of omission and overreaction to a perceived threat. Further, it led to a campaign of harassment by Mr. Gider that resulted in 9 bogus arrests for violation of the order. All of which were dismissed but Lydia still served 6 days in a cold, hard cell. This is the incident that resulted in the most current arrest; for  the “crime” of giving a hug to her daughter at her school Open House meeting. 

What life lessons is this young American girl learning? That her Turkish father's word is law? That she can't be with her own mother or sister unless he wants her to? That nobody else cares about her trauma, fear and pain? Our nation's attention is turning to previously ignored, mocked and belittled victims and to those who looked the other way as those abusers were committing their crimes. In Ms. Lydia Hubbell's case, it looks like some of Mr. Gider's enablers are in the courtroom. They have failed to order a psychological evaluation for an armed man who publicly threatened to shoot Ms. Hubbell, within hearing range of their 6 year old child.
