We are calling on the government to actively implement mandated measures that provide an advanced level of protection in all clubs and bars. Spiking is on an alarming rise within places such as Bristol. Spiking can be life threatening so we must push forward to protecting all those wanting to just have a good night out. This petition is to make it a legal requirement for all clubs and bars to offer anti-spiking devices, such as drink covers and testing kits. These devices will provide people with the tools to protect themselves and essentially promote safer nightlife experiences. The police received 6,732 reports of spiking in the year ending April 2023, (Gov.uk).
