Last year you heard my story of being homeless at 14, and you signed my petition. Together we called for affordable housing for young people. Thank you so much. I went on to present 40,000 signatures to politicians in Canberra. We got the issue on the national agenda, but we haven’t yet won a commitment to deliver housing that young people can afford. We need to go back to the Government and set them a clear target. We need 100,000 new public and community housing properties actually built so young people, and others who can’t afford housing, can have a home.
