The policies and procedures of state institutions do not acknowledge and respect individual authority over private space. As Melanated Indigenous beings the misrepresentation of our image and identity through stereotypes, propaganda, biased historical texts and misnomers has lead to our physical bodies/homes to be viewed, not as private sacred space, but public domain. Because the consistent narrative perpetuates Melanated beings as threatening or violent it then "justifies" the "necessity" to violate them.

Individuals cannot legally violate one another they way the institutions, who claim their power from "society", can. The "Society" that allows institutions to operate this way can also acknowledge the right to our Private Yard and Personal Space. No one should have the right to arbitrarily enlist a publicly (or privately) funded institution to enter your private space without consent.

For example: George Floyd did not physically harm anyone, he was being suspected of potentially distributing fake bills. The institution called, with the extremely minimal evidence they had, should have maintained his personal space not only because of COVID-19 but because there was no reason to enter it. There was no threat of violence, only suspicion thus he could have been given a promise to appear  and the situation could have been done with. In a land where you are innocent until proven guilty, the right to murder a suspect means the murderer is judge and jury. 

Why are institutions reserving rights to your personal space while you aren't doing the same. Your physical body/home is not their property it is time to privatize our private space. We the MelaNation are asking you the "Society" to acknowledge and uphold our right to our "Personal Yard and Private Space" (our bubble) for our protection.
