Conference Theme
The recent rise of authoritarianism in Turkey has heavily impacted Turkish academia. Thousands of academics have been fired for alleged links to the July 15 coup attempt, while several universities have been shut down. The government's crackdown on academia since 2016 has severely impacted several areas of academic life including the quality of science that has produced independent thinking and freedom of expression.
Conference Format:
The conference language is English.
The conference will be held online. Each presenter will be given 20-minutes each to speak, followed by 10 minutes Q&A.
