At Hey Bud, we believe sun protection is an essential - not a luxury. However, the proposed Draft Legislation, 'GSTD 2024/D2 Goods and services tax: supplies of sunscreen' could classify multi-purpose sunscreens, like those with added skincare benefits, as taxable goods under GST.

This approach undermines the importance of SPF in fighting harmful UV damage and skin cancer. We believe all sunscreens, whether standard or multi-functional, should be GST-free.
