Review the case against Charles Clark and Christopher Richardson for fox hunting.
Charles Clark and Christopher Richardson of Holderness Hunt were charged with illegal hunting in July of this year after they were filmed killing a fox on New Years Eve. They were due to appear in court on Thursday 27th August 2020. Two days before their court date, the Crown Prosecution Service quietly and inexplicably discontinued the case on grounds of insufficient evidence.

You often hear of Hunts being in league with the police or prosecutors and to discontinue a case with such damning evidence two days before it was due to go to trial is extremely suspicious.
We are also calling upon Humberside Police to encourage the Crown Prosecution Service to review their decision to discontinue the case.
The Crown Prosecution Service will overturn a decision not to prosecute in: “cases where a further review of the original decision shows that it was wrong and, in order to maintain confidence in the criminal justice system, a prosecution should be brought despite the earlier decision”
There is already limited confidence in the criminal justice system for enforcing wildlife crimes, especially those under the Hunting Act 2004. To discontinue a case, particularly one with such clear evidence, has further damaged confidence levels in the police and CPS to protect Britain’s wildlife from the illegal activities of Huntsmen across the country.
