On September 23rd, 2021 I Ambar Jimenez, sent out an email to Yonaka Motorsports stating that I will no longer be buying their products due to them having a “race queen” (look this term up in google images) girl logo on their thank you cards. This logo is offensive to maybe not all but most women in society, we all know that it is aimed towards men and we have all seen male dominated businesses owned and aimed towards men and how they use many and many propaganda, logos like this “race queen”, commercials with women in tight skimpy dresses, car washes with animated women in bathing suits and much more. Because to some, not all, but some men and businesses, WOMEN SELL. Some men have done unboxing reviews via YouTube on their Yonaka Motorsports items, ThatRuinedMedia on YouTube said “Oh Geez” once he saw this thank you card. Joseph Kondash, also on YouTube, did not even wish to share the side with the “race queen” logo on his review. Why do you think? In my email I state that Yonaka Motorsports “race queen” is sexist. I told them to make their thank you cards more professional as I and my partner have purchased from other car parts businesses and have never encountered such an inappropriate logo to say “thank you”. An email was sent back to me on September 24th, 2021 stating and I quote,

“The "race queen" girl on our flyer is fully clothed and giving the peace sign.

If you find that offensive, or sexualized, you need to get out more.

Sorry, not sorry.”
Did I state she wasn’t fully clothed? No. I stated she was wearing skimpy clothing. Now to all my business owners, especially with those who have 18.7k followers on Instagram (Yonaka Motorsports), is that any way to speak to a customer that has bought products from you? Nonetheless, to a FEMALE customer? 
Yonaka Motorsports is a man owned business as their Instagram bio currently states “Car guys making car parts for fellow car enthusiasts since 2002” 

After the horrible customer service I received, I restated that their “race queen” was yet again another female character being sexualized for a business owned by men. I asked for the representatives name that offended me so I could follow up with a call. They replied with:

“The character was actually designed by a woman, and she was given full creative license to create the character as she saw fit. Rest assured, I'll pass it on to let her know how offended you were by her cartoon art.” 

Now.. this is what us WOMEN are used to seeing. A company trying to justify sexist content only because a woman designed it. Does it make it better that you have a woman design a sexist logo that sells for a male dominated company? Does it make it better to say that the female artist created a design that “she saw fit” for a male dominated company that is about car parts? As a pursing Artist not only in my personal life but in my career, I know that when an artist works with a business, we create only what ideas are given to us. So what this artist “saw fit” were notes and details of her bosses ideas. The fact that WOMEN SELL. So why not as an artist, just create a woman, with skimpy clothing, a woman, a as I say “a race queen” to be put on this car parts company’s Thank You for your Purchase, card? 

Yonaka Motorsports has stopped responding to my emails, they have not apologized, they have not given out the name to the representative that offended me, they have ignored my messages on Instagram and Facebook and have blocked one of my Instagram accounts (will most likely block the second one), has denied me access to speak to a manager. So why are they hiding? Why are they so afraid to get caught up? Why must I stay in the dark and be ignored? If I was a man, would it be different? 
Speak up Yonaka Motorsports. 

To all of my Women and Men out there who support me. Please sign my petition. Don’t just say, “it’s just a silly logo” it’s not. Sexism is everywhere. Help me put an end to it.
