Chat cooldowns are horrible. Chat cooldowns on DayZ discourage newcomers, people who might stay are repelled by the fact they can't say what they want when they want. It demoralizes any people who want to help newbs who ask questions in chat. Not to mention it ruins the possibility to have friendly chats which may reduce toxicity and make friendships ingame. Yeah sure, there will be direct messages, local, clan and ally chat still, but people aren't always in a clan or allied or within the local area of who they want to chat with, and people sometimes don't want to PM with just one person, they want to talk to many people. And it annoys the hell out of everyone it affects and is overall unbearable. Please sign this petition to show Yom how much we don't want it!
