Today ESPN announced that the Mets star player Yoenis Cespedes bought a "prize hog" at the St. Lucie County Fair. As news media outlets reported on his $7,000 purchase, a video surfaced of Cespedes roasting a pig on a spit. The media has casually concluded the majority of articles questioning the fate of the pig. Just like you and me, this living being deserves to live a happy and free life. Tell Yoenis Cespedes to release a signed statement confirming he will do no harm to the pig and provide photos of her in her living conditions. If he is not willing to provide adequate care for her, we ask that he find a home for her at a farm animal sanctuary.
