Hi there! Thanks for checking out our page! I'm glad you're here. Our mission is SAVE the Lakewood YMCA. Sadly it is slated to close. Me and my mom group of friends that our regulars at the Lakewood Y have started a rally/campaign to keep it open. We and a bunch of other regulars who use the Y on a regular are going to be devastated if that happens. We feel it would be a detriment to all the members, families and our community to lose it and we're on a mission to save it. Care to join us? Jump aboard!

Annnd.. not a member.. and you're looking for a gym/community center to join.. I'd like to personally introduce you to my favorite.. The Lakewood Y!

 We are a personal and friendly bunch with many on a first name basis. We have a big mom/dad-group of women and men with about 20-30 kids that play together well and have formed bond like friendships.. (and I can personally attest to the kiddo friendships.. since my oldest has been attending since he was a baby).. with 2 amazing, engaging and loving grandma-type women playing with them and watching them. It feels like not only a gym but a meeting place full of like-people. And I feel safe there. I feel like family there. I also love the nice, helpful, down to Earth staff. Check us out!  - indoor soccer program with as may as 68 teams per week and approximately 1,000 players per week,

- a tennis program with 5 indoor tennis courts,

- basketball with the largest indoor basketball tournaments in our area,

- volleyball and hockey leagues,

- gymnastics featuring the Lakewood Starz Gymnastics Team,

- racquetball,

- free weight room, matrix machines, cardio equipment, childcare while you work out (only facility offering this in the village) men's and women's locker rooms, showers and saunas, and 100's of gym memberships,

 - pickleball leagues and tournaments,

- spinning, exercise and aerobic classes,

- kids camp, tournaments,

- personal trainers on staff,

- Family Fun Night for childrens use of the gymnastics room for indoor exercise in the fall and winter,

- partnership with Southwestern School for before and after school childcare,

- and birthday party rentals;
