The YSPD are equiped with body cameras, but do not use them. It is Chief Carlson's policy for none of his officers to ever turn them on. The Village Council has the power to change this. This petition is in honor of Leonid Clark who was the victim of police brutality before becoming homeless and then murdered.

The courts found Leonid Innocent and released him. However, he lost his job and became homeless. The dashcam footage of his arrest is online, but body cameras could have prevented the unwarranted arrest entirely if they were turned on. The officer in the video no longer works for the YS Police Department.
