We the undersigned support Alphington Netball Club's [ANC] request to City of Yarra Council to immediately install two netball courts with lights in the Alphington Sports Precinct area as illustrated in the map below:

• we understand these courts are for use by local kids, predominantly females who have no other facilities in Alphington to safely train in their chosen sport.
• we understand that sport is instrumental in keeping communities healthy
• we understand that the Australian Government is keen to promote participation in women's sport and we understand that in order to achieve this outcome players require sporting facilities
• we understand that this is a rapid growth community which will have a genuine need for these netball courts
• we understand that the Victorian Government have allocated $9.6million dollars for 64 netball courts in Inner Melbourne
• we have been provided with meaningful support from Netball Victoria for the installation of courts in the Alphington Sports Precinct
