We are petitioning to Xiaomi Inc. to Release Kernel Sources For Xiaomi Mi8, So that open source developers can develop for our phone also. This can improve the phone customise it to work better for other users. Xiaomi’s repeated violations of the license for the Linux kernel which Android (and thus Xiaomi’s devices), is built on , is also an important reason for this petition.

Xiaomi promised to release source code of its kernels for devices 3 months after release date. They have released source code for the smaller version the Mi8SE but not the Mi8. Please Xiaomi respect your promises and keep your word and release the source code for this phones kernel!
